Savor Your Success

The blur that was January has all but faded and February has dawned with all her lovely promise.

How did you do on your goals for January and this year?

Did you accomplish your one-month goals?

Did you flesh out your strategy for your longer-term goals?

Have you been able to check off any of the tasks that will get you closer to success as you define it?

Are you enjoying a new habit or two, now that more than 21 days have come and gone in this new year?

Most importantly, have you celebrated your wins?

Today is all about reflecting on these questions to feed your sense of satisfaction and increase your motivation.

If you are like me, you spend tons of energy and time pursuing your goals because that’s how we roll. And, chances are, like me, once you have accomplished one of the goals on your list, it frees up time and other resources to focus on the next one and so, we switch into a new gear and go!

We goal getters are in constant motion, right?

I wouldn’t necessarily change that and yet, I must remind myself, and so I am reminding you, that we need to slow down long enough to savor each success we achieve.

Everyone savors differently! Some of you may celebrate long and loudly with friends and family. Some of you may reward yourself with tangible items. Some of you may give yourself the gift of free time, no strings attached.

Sometimes, savoring means just taking a pause to reflect and record goals accomplished, to give thanks to others who may have helped, or to acknowledge the grace and blessings of a God who gives us the freedom to create.

This week, I want to encourage you to create some space for savoring the goals you have accomplished in the past, right up until today.

You can find a Brag Page in the Resource section to assist you.

Congratulations on your success and may you enjoy much, much more.
