God's Goals
Christmas Greetings!
It’s 5 AM and I am checking my lists.
Has every person got a present?
Are the cards in the mail?
Have the groceries been bought?
Do I have something festive to wear to church?
And then, softly, a nudge.
Do I remember the reason for this season?
Ah. Yes. Jesus! Like a downy comforter on a soft bed, I sink into the knowing, the belief, that soon we will arrive at the anniversary of the most important baby birth ever.
God had a goal.
He knew in this chaotic, sinful world that no matter how good our intentions, we could never, ever do enough or be enough or have enough to get to Him. So - he put in place His plan to help us. To save us. To redeem us. To create the Way for us to fulfill our work on this great planet and be received by Him at our appointed time.
Jesus.
My friends, this Christmas, I wish you the gifts of love, joy, and the peace that comes from knowing and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
